The Charitable Foundation has provided funding to enable Youth United to reach more communities and involve more young people
Youth United is a coalition of charities and agencies working together to encourage more young people and adults to volunteer in their local communities. The members, including the police force and youth organisations such as The Prince's Trust, believe they can achieve more working together than separately.
Following the riots in August 2011, Youth United deployed over 1,000 young people in London and Manchester to help with the recovery. The young volunteers enthusiastically took on the task and showed a desire to contribute to their communities in a positive way. This is not something any one of the organisations that make up Youth United could have delivered alone and showed the strength of the coalition in action.
