National Citizen Service programme at Reginald Mitchell Court

The Prince of Wales's Charitable Foundation and The Prince's Charities aim to ensure their work in communities such as Burnley, Tottenham, Redcar and Burslem, would impact and have a ripple effect on the surrounding areas.

Burslem schools benefit from Industrial Cadets programme

In May 2010 HRH The Prince of Wales visited the Teesside area and expressed the hope that companies in the manufacturing industry would engage more with young people to raise awareness of industry and job opportunities. Following discussions between His Royal Highness and Jon Bolton of Tata Steel, the Industrial Cadets programme was born and launched by The Prince's Charities and Tata Steel in October 2011.

Spotlight on Burnley Canal Festival

The Prince of Wales's Charitable Foundation has funded a Place Director to oversee the work of The Prince's Charities in the Places, which includes Burnley. The Charities are working with The Canal and River Trust which received funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund in 2012, to develop an ambitious programme of events based around the Burnley Canal during 2012/13.
